This role is ideal for a designer who understands traditional Indian craftsmanship and can reinterpret heritage styles for modern consumers, while working closely with production and creative teams.

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Ethnic Wear Designer who can create timeless and contemporary Indian apparel across men’s and women’s categories. The ideal candidate combines strong aesthetic sensibility with technical proficiency in garment construction and textile selection.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyse ethnic wear trends (men’s & women’s), materials, silhouettes, and competitor products
- Develop original concepts for tops, bottoms, outerwear, festive wear, and accessories
- Create technical sketches, detailed drawings, and mood boards using Illustrator and Photoshop
- Choose high-quality fabrics, trims, and materials focused on comfort, durability, and performance
- Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and production teams throughout prototyping and fittings
- Ensure quality, construction, and functional requirements are consistently upheld during production
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support timely collection delivery
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design (NIFT or any leading fashion institute preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in ethnic wear apparel, accessories, and trims
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and design tools
- Solid understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and ethnic textiles
- Ability to translate consumer insights into innovative, market-ready designs
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
