We’re looking for a creative Fashion Designer – Ethnic Wear to join our Jind Mahia design team in New Delhi.
You will design contemporary yet timeless ethnicwear rooted in craftsmanship, culture, and modern luxury. This role requires a strong foundation in garment construction, fabrics, and design sensibilities tailored to today’s consumer.

Responsibilities
- Research ethnic wear trends (men’s & women’s), fabrics, silhouettes, and market insights
- Design original concepts for seasonal collections — tops, bottoms, outerwear, sets & accessories
- Create detailed technical drawings, mood boards, and sketches using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
- Select fabrics, trims, and materials aligned with comfort, durability, and aesthetic goals
- Partner with product development, merchandising, and production through sampling & fittings
- Ensure high-quality finish, functional fit, and consistency throughout the design-to-production cycle
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely rollout of collections
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from NIFT or a top fashion institute
- 1–3 years experience in ethnic wear design (apparel, trims, accessories)
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
- Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, textiles, and ethnic fabric behavior
- Ability to translate consumer insights and trends into modern, commercially viable designs
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
